Projection Mapping timed with vertical LED screens

For the past 3 years, I created animations for our annual client events that host hundreds of attendees. The goal is to build upon the relationships and trust that our clients have with our brand. Each event always has a unique campaign theme, and we challenge ourselves to make something more innovative than the year before. My job is to take the approved logo and create a compelling narrative in a kickoff animation that will set the tone for the beginning of the event, as the speakers take the stage. Additionally, I create a 5 minute countdown and animated looping logos and promos used in emails, social, and on-site.

In the entrance last year for our Accelerate theme, I was very proud of creating an immersive area for attendees that timed projection mapping on our physical brand letters to vertical LED screens, setup in a V formation. In the animation, I designed and rigged 3D athletes running around a track in Cinema 4D. I incorporated those 3D renders into After Effects with 2D photos sourced from our print signage. This animation setup highlighted 3D runners going around the screens (as if running around the room). The audience later saw the same runners completing a marathon in the kickoff animation. Overall, client feedback was extremely positive and the event was a huge success.
